Open Letter to Premier Kenney

Please see below alternatives in response to the additional non-pharmaceutical health measures announced by your government yesterday.
Open all COVID Cabinet Committee meetings to the public.
Debate + transparency = improved public confidence.
Redirect all MLA and bureaucrat wages (aside from $2,000 net per month per person) to the Alberta Relaunch Grant program.
Funds will support small businesses who have been disproportionately impacted by lockdowns for 14+ months.
Once all lockdown measures have ended, wages can be restored.
Immediately move all COVID-19 patients to “tent hospitals”.
Improved access to sunlight and better ventilation will provide better health outcomes.
Reopen and keep all schools open. Schools are safe.
Provide Vitamin D supplements and two healthy meals per day to all students.
Students & teachers who are sick should stay home until well but the revolving door process of two week isolations should be stopped.
Encourage Albertans to get outside, likelihood of transmitting COVID-19 outdoors is rare.
Regular exercise has been shown to reduce the likelihood of severe complications from COVID-19 and improve mental health.
Allow places of worship to hold services outside without gathering limits.
Allow funeral services to proceed outside without gathering limits.
Reopen patios without gathering limits.
Keep all personal services businesses open.
Public Health Agency of Canada has not linked one COVID-19 death to these businesses.
