Hippocratic Oath

Open Letter to the Honourable Jason Copping, Minister of Health

October 7, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Red Deer – Mountain View, AB

While I understand that as a labour lawyer, you are likely not aware of or committed to the Hippocratic Oath. As Minister of Health for the Province of Alberta however, it might be time to review the Oath.

Point #4 of the Hippocratic Oath states the following: “I will not be ashamed to say ‘I know not’, nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient’s recovery.”

On October 4, 2021 via Twitter, you stated the following: “Ivermectin is used to de-worm livestock and is used topically to treat some parasites in humans. COVID-19 is a virus, not a parasite. A recent AHS COVID-19 Scientific Advisory report says “Overall, the evidence for this topic is of very low to low quality. As w/ other clinical topics on COVID-19, the research on Ivermectin is opportunistic & hastily done, with limited planning to minimize sources of bias.”

The report you refer to in your Tweet is dated February 2, 2021 and states the following: “The studies evaluating Ivermectin treatment are not high enough quality to properly decide if Ivermectin is useful or not. More studies are needed to show if Ivermectin can be used to prevent infection.”

Pfizer and BioNTech enrolled 46,331 participants into their trials, Moderna enrolled 30,420 and AstraZeneca Plc enrolled 24,820. These three companies have now distributed billions of doses worldwide despite record numbers of vaccine injuries and waning protection.

Please refer to the following link from Frontline Line COVID-19 Care Alliance for Ivermectin trial data which enrolled 47,717 patients: https://covid19criticalcare.com/ivermectin-in-covid-19/.

My question to you; is Alberta Health Services interested in saving lives or pushing Big Pharma profits?

Sincerely,

Jared Pilon
