Everyone makes mistakes, no one will argue that. Consider this scenario in comparison to the government's response to COVID-19.
If an employee at your business made mistakes that negatively impacted your operation, you would likely give them a break, at least once. However, if the mistakes continued or became increasingly detrimental to your business what would your response be?
You won't allow the mistakes to continue until your business was ultimately ruined. You would hold the employee to account to ensure the viability of your business.
The time for review regarding the government's response to COVID-19 isn't in 6 months, a year or never. Leaders should be held to account on an ongoing basis, much the same as employees are held account to their employers.
Elected officials work for us, it's high time that we start holding them to account.
